Why purchase this specially minted 2020-(P) American Silver Eagle bullion coin?
The American Silver Eagle has been issued annually since 1986. To meet pubic demand for precious metals during the spring 2020 emergency, the Mint expanded bullion production to include its Philadelphia branch. Containing 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver, this 2020 Silver Eagle is authenticated by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) as one of those specially minted coins, on its certification label only. The coin represents one of the 240,000 Silver Eagle bullion coins struck at the Philadelphia Mint from April 8-20, 2020.
