Emergency Production took place in the Mint's Philadelphia facility from April 8-20, 2020. A total of 240,000 Silver Eagles were minted, which is notably the second lowest bullion mintage in the series' history. The 40.60 mm diameter 2020-(P) Silver Eagle is struck from 1 Troy oz. of .999 fine silver.

Gorgeous Lady Liberty Design by Sculptor Adolph A. Weinman

Lady Liberty is posed walking towards the rising sun on the obverse, with an American flag gracefully draped around her form, accompanied by the inscriptions "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST" and "2020."

A heraldic eagle with a striped shield at its breast is depicted on the reverse, with thirteen stars above. The design by John Mercanti includes the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," "ONE DOLLAR," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM."
